To remain in track it is important to look into your targets every 3 days ( this exclude if u r in leave ), and then generate new ideas and out of box thinking to get it done.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;3. Impose the work on the people around you such that the pressure on u will decrease , but the followup for the same is necessary.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;4. Make system below you so strong such the people above you can not even review your team .&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;5. But in the other day , it fallen down like anything. This is really difficult to remain same everyday. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;But when i was in school life or in college life, the things are more smoother. the effect of outside world is very limited, rather u can say i was in my comfortable zone. but this comfortable zone we can create now also , by fixing my own agenda of the day, the work defined for the day. and all these things should align with the objectives of company.Company U r working for.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Points taken care are:&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;1. fix your daily agenda &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;2. fix your weekly agenda &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;3. fix your monthly agenda.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;4. find the persons for the job&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;5. understand the person fit for the specific job.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;6.before assigning the specific job to the specific person the the working cycle for that person has to be clearly defined such that you can easily and enthusiastically put the work or the task given by you.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;7. Clearly defined the job to the persons in their language by making them beleiving the core or the requirement and improtance of the task.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;8. motivate them by regular review and rewards. immediately.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;i think this will work in the current situation.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Apart from this there are regular intervention of outside jobs which u will difficult to manage with the task u defined , but believe here the main course of action comes in action. In my life the only problem is the comfortable zone itself is very mobile and variable in nature. so in my view i used to wast 60 % of time productive time in non value adding work , i.e tours. this makes me to work in unofficial times also. and because of this ,it takes &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;My&lt;/span&gt; and my families state of mind.&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;My suggestion to the management team is ,please increase our value adding time such the the desired work can be taken out in defined time interval only.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;But if you go through the thoughts of other people , who all are in favour of tours, one point is really very &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;important&lt;/span&gt; and can be taken in consideration , i.e. Yes the &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;GEMBA&lt;/span&gt; visit for &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"&gt;improvements&lt;/span&gt; did u ever think why the position of brakes and acclerator is arranged in a specific arrangement,i.e brake is always above acclerator pedal? why it is not below acclerator? how much it should be below brake pedal? and how this whole thing is going to effect he respective process?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;so here i will giv answer to all the above said question. Although he was part of the Indica vendor development team in 1997, Wagh was actually reluctant to get into full-scale product design with the Ace.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He remembers how Tata Motors MD Ravi Kant hand-picked him for the job and convinced him that it was as important as the work he was doing with the companys excellence group. That was December 2000. The Ace rolled out in May 2005 and almost singlehandedly helped beat a recession in the commercial vehicle space.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Impressed by his ability to deliver under tight deadlines, chairman Ratan Tata and Ravi Kant decided to move Wagh to the small car project in August that year. Heading a 500-strong team, Waghs biggest challenge was to define the products specifications as they went along.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Unlike the Ace where we knew what the necessary specs were, in this project all we had was a cost target, he says. That and the fact that it had to be a real car which met all the regulatory requirements.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The small car team had already put in about 18 months work by the time Wagh came on board. The R&amp;amp;D team was in place and work was on to get a fix on the styling, packaging, engine and transmission. Because there were no guidelines, the team used the M-800 for comparison. The idea was that we had to achieve at least this much and more, says Wagh.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As we went ahead, we redefined performance specs. As recently as nine months ago, we tweaked the engine to increase the power. The team also decided to launch the car with a manual transmission instead of the earlier-announced continuously variable transmission (CVT).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The CVT will come but the first variants will have a four-speed manual. Widely known as one of Tata Motors new bunch of engineering whiz kids, Wagh enjoys a formidable reputation in the company. A stickler for perfection and a hard taskmaster, Wagh is the first to admit that the Nano experiment had its own share of hiccups. Part of the problem was the constantly evolving design. His solution was to leverage the collective knowledge in the company.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In a somewhat hidebound company like Tata Motors thats never be easy. But then folks inside knew that this was no hypothetical project, the chairman had made it amply clear that he wanted it done. Ravi Kant also made sure the team was insulated from all these pressures. So by the time the project hit top-gear, the R&amp;amp;D team, vendor development team and manufacturing team were all working together, says Wagh.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;That may sound easy but the ability to take inclusive decisions without losing the way is a tough call. No wonder, Tata himself is more than generous in his praise for Wagh. Girish is a terrific guy and has displayed enormous leadership qualities, he said, just after the Nano launch.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He takes over a responsibility and sees it through. Of course, no one is indispensible and Telco did go through many years of innovation without a Girish Wagh. Theres a terrific spirit in the company and we try to identify, motivate and empower that spirit. Girish is part of that process, he said.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now that the peoples car has been unveiled, Waghs challenges are hardly over. Tata Motors must prove that the seemingly incredible design specs hold up at the manufacturing stage too. Product quality needs to be consistent too, something the firm isnt well known for. Although Wagh wouldnt say, insiders say enough quality assurance systems have to be put in place at the upcoming Singur plant.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But Thursdays high-voltage launch at the AutoExpo will no doubt ensure that Waghs career gets another turbo-charge. If the Nano manages a similar product record, it could make the self-effacing Wagh one of Indias most sought after auto engineering brains.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Indias growing importance as an ultra low-cost auto engineering hub means people like him will call the shots in the next phase of growth. In such design situation what we know from theoretical basis is we should design, considering pinion because for one complete rotation of wheel the angle of rotation for pinion is more.so it's wear rate will be more.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;And we have to take maximum stress for pinion .here only we have to see the contradiction from industrial design for same arrangement . In industries it is economical to go for designing wheel rather then the pinion, because it become inexpensive to manufacture pinion compare to wheel.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;So in industries they are practising to make the gear arrangement in such a way that pinion Will never be stronger then wheel . This will allow comparable wear to pinion then wheel ,and it is inexpensive to change it. So like this we can have large number of examples regarding the difference between industrial and academic approach.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;Regarding this refer to article in 'THE HINDU' dated 5 January 2008, according to D.R.D.O "WE ARE HAVING RESOURCES BUT SCARCITY OF MANPOWER ." &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;This is the pure result of contradicting behaviour of both approaches. D.R.D.O seeking for experienced and dedicated research fellows to work on more complicated experimental work. But until and unless we will fill the gap between academic and industries.
